To save energy, you can set up time schedules for each day of the week.
With an Auto Assist subscription of € 3.99 per month, this thermostat has functions like geofencing to make it extra energy-efficient.
This expansion only works combined with the Tado starter pack.
You can only install this smart radiator thermostat on your heating if you already have a thermostatic radiator knob, which you can recognize by the numbers 1 to 5.

Description

This Tado Smart Radiator Thermostat 6-pack (expansion) includes 6 smart radiator knobs that allow you to control radiators individually. You can install the app on your smartphone and tablet, and adjust the temperature per radiator. You do need a Tado bridge for this, otherwise you can't control the radiator thermostat via the app. This allows you to set the right temperature for each room separately. That's useful for the bathroom, for example. Since the radiator thermostats are connected to your smartphone, the temperature automatically goes down when you leave the house. That means you never have to think about turning off the heating again. The smart radiator thermostat from Tado doesn't work with all brands of radiator valves. Check in advance which brand of thermostat knob you have now. The radiator knob from Tado is suitable for valves from Caleffi, Comap, Danfoss, Giacomini, Herz, Olymp, Siemens, and Terrier. For a wired connection, connect the thermostat to the wires of your current thermostat. Are you using the thermostat wirelessly? In that case, you'll need the wireless pack.

I like the product. But in a house with several floors (no concrete floors or anything), 2 buttons regularly suffer from a bad connection. I've tried several things but every now and then it keeps crashing. If you are unlucky, that results in an ice cold room!

A week after installation I am happy with it, it all seems to work well, except for the temperature measurement in 1 of the rooms. Too bad that half of the batteries turned out to be empty. Then suddenly you can no longer continue with the installation and the extra costs take away a large part of the initial advantage.

Connecting is fine with the adapters, otherwise help from the helpdesk is nearby. The app is clear, but it still lacks a few functions (separate geofencing for different residents, copying schedules) even though they are on the roadmap on the website.
