The Tado smart radiator thermostat doesn't work with all radiator valves brands. Check which thermostat knob brand you have beforehand. The Tado radiator knob is suitable for valves from Caleffi, Comap, Danfoss, Giacomini, Herz, Olymp, Siemens, and Terrier.
The Tado Smart Radiator Thermostat is an expansion of the Tado smart radiator thermostat starter kit. Provide every radiator in your home with a smart radiator thermostat. Thanks to the smart radiator knob, you can control the radiator via the app on your smartphone. The radio thermostat knows exactly where you are thanks to geofencing. This way, the temperature is lowered when you leave and the radiator is automatically set to a comfortable temperature when you come home. Replace your old radiator knob thanks to the smart radiator thermostat and get started right away with the Tado app. Make sure that you have a Tado bridge. Without the bridge, it's not possible to control the radiator thermostat.

I like the product. But in a house with several floors (no concrete floors or anything), 2 buttons regularly suffer from a bad connection. I've tried several things but every now and then it keeps crashing. If you are unlucky, that results in an ice cold room!

A week after installation I am happy with it, it all seems to work well, except for the temperature measurement in 1 of the rooms. Too bad that half of the batteries turned out to be empty. Then suddenly you can no longer continue with the installation and the extra costs take away a large part of the initial advantage.

Connecting is fine with the adapters, otherwise help from the helpdesk is nearby. The app is clear, but it still lacks a few functions (separate geofencing for different residents, copying schedules) even though they are on the roadmap on the website.
