According to our thermostat expert
You can control and read the temperature via an app on your smartphone and on the radiator knob.
To save energy, you can set up time schedules for each day of the week.
With an Auto Assist subscription of € 3.99 per month, this thermostat has functions like geofencing to make it extra energy-efficient.
This expansion only works combined with a Tado starter pack.
Without a bridge, you can't control the smart radiator knobs via the app.
The Tado smart radiator thermostat doesn't work with all radiator valves brands. Check which thermostat knob brand you have beforehand. The Tado radiator knob is suitable for valves from Caleffi, Comap, Danfoss, Giacomini, Herz, Olymp, Siemens, and Terrier.
The Tado Smart Radiator Thermostat is an expansion of the Tado smart radiator thermostat starter kit. Provide every radiator in your home with a smart radiator thermostat. Thanks to the smart radiator knob, you can control the radiator via the app on your smartphone. The radio thermostat knows exactly where you are thanks to geofencing. This way, the temperature is lowered when you leave and the radiator is automatically set to a comfortable temperature when you come home. Replace your old radiator knob thanks to the smart radiator thermostat and get started right away with the Tado app. Make sure that you have a Tado bridge. Without the bridge, it's not possible to control the radiator thermostat.

Ease of assembly
Quite expensive for a thermostat and then you also have to take out a paid subscription for smart functions. For example, if an open window is detected by the thermostat, you must have a paid subscription to have it turned off automatically. You can turn it off manually, but I don't call that "smart".

Honewell Chronotherm 4 replaced by Tado smart thermostat. Tado thermostat connected to Honewell V8015 zone valve of the district heating. The Tado App guides you through the installation step by step. Installation is easy. Heating of the house is very easy to control per room via the app. Several systems compared Honewell Evohome, Danfoss link and Tado. Chosen for Tado for the quality/price ratio and focused on self-installation.
