Siemens WQ45G270NL SelfCleaning

This machine does a good job of drying (so far) and maybe that's all that matters. But unfortunately, the heat pump makes an annoying high noise, but I cannot compare it with other (heat pump) dryers. And once every 1 to 2 weeks, the dryer must run a cleaning program (to rinse the fluff from the heat exchanger because you cannot clean it yourself). This is a user-unfriendly procedure where an 8mm large rubber cap has to be converted every time, is very easily lost or falls into the machine and costs 5 euros + 6.95 shipping costs to order again. This procedure is described very cumbersome in the manual with no less than 5 references to other pages and clumsy 'secret' button combinations to activate. The description of the many programs and options is also poorly explained or not explained so that you have to guess what certain symbols mean. And then the drum always turns in the same direction, so that large laundry rolls nicely together and does not get dry (unless there must be a secret option that is not documented). Many cheap dryers alternate directions of rotation. As an engineer working in electronic product development myself, I can't imagine that this design and manual would make it through a consumer test panel. Siemens ....... this is a stain on the brand ....... If the drying result were even slightly disappointing, this machine would have been returned and perhaps that will still happen.

Easy and clear to use. It's nice that there is lighting in the drum. This way you can easily see if there is anything left in it. The dryer looks nice.
