After my almost ten-year-old Macbook Pro occasionally failed and really needed a new battery and this unfortunately - because it still worked perfectly - cost a lot of money, I bought this Macbook Air 8gb with 512gb. I doubted for a long time because I think the purchase price is quite reasonable, but if it lasts for a long time, it is also worth it. I've been using it for three weeks now and I'm impressed with the speed with the 8gb and M2 chip! The battery life is also great. I don't know what hit me and I am pleasantly surprised every time! This one is even much better than that of my iPhone12. I can work for a few days without plugging in the Air. If I work outside the house for a day, I don't need a charger, that's really no problem at all. It's a strange sensation to have many tabs open and programs running simultaneously without a fan kicking in. So far I haven't experienced it getting particularly hot or stuttering when playing movies or (amateur) photo editing. The design is beautiful. I really wanted the blue one but read about the many fingerprints that are so clearly visible and that's why I went for the 'starlight'. Also looks very good, although I see a lot of fingerprints here too. Significantly more than on the silver color of the Pro, but it is not very disturbing (so I regret not going for the blue one after all). I think a downside is that there are only two outputs and both USB-C. A day after purchase, I immediately purchased a USB hub with various ports and SD card reader. That is a necessary accessory. So much power in this lightweight housing; he is absolutely not inferior to his old big brother. Extremely happy with this purchase!
