That is why I have now connected the Linksys router behind the KPN router as access points, whereby I have switched off the WiFi of the KPN router. Some settings cannot be changed when the units are set as access points, but I simply do not need them. This meets my requirements and the Linksys router now works flawlessly while I can also watch TV.
I wired both units for the most stable and fast network possible (only one cable is included). This works entirely as expected, in fact even better than expected. I haven't noticed any network hiccups yet and the speed everywhere in my apartment is close to 200 Mbps. I have 5 Sonos products, a TV, PS5, a number of Google/Ikea/Samsung smart home products and two laptops on the network. Even when almost all devices are used at the same time, I have not experienced any problems / hitches. Like I said, I live in an apartment. So I can't give a good judgment about the maximum range of the units.
The Linksys app offers a lot of options for the demanding user, which I am not really. For example, you can scan the channels on your phone for the least occupied channel and then set it manually. In my situation, however, it's best to just let this happen automatically.
