I bought this phone for my father (over 80) specifically because of the emergency button function. However, this one is a complete disaster. When the emergency button is activated by the person in need, the Emporia Glam starts blaring a loud alarm that is almost impossible to turn off. The noise goes through your very bones, almost forcing you to throw the thing against the wall to stop the noise. The emergency contacts who receive this emergency call on their own mobile phone (first you receive a text message, then you are automatically called) do not even get to speak to the person in need.
