The Bose QuietComfort Headphones are the long-awaited successor to the Bose QuietComfort 45. The appearance of the new headphones is almost the same as its predecessor, but the QuietComfort Headphones have a few improvements. This way I have more control over the noise canceling. Unfortunately, the headphones do not have wearing detection.
Detailed bass
I like listening to house, EDM and indie rock music. I want drum parts and bass to sound clear. The bass sounds clear and detailed on every song I listen to. Drum parts sound less refined than I expected. You can hear this in the background of some studio songs. During live songs I hear drum parts clearly.
Strong noise canceling
The noise canceling of the Bose QuietComfort Headphones is strong. While its predecessor already excelled in this area, these headphones are no different. In a busy office I don't hear anything from my talking colleagues. I don't even have to turn up my volume for this. In addition, the noise canceling strongly dampens wind noise. This way I can listen to my favorite music in silence even in a windy environment. I think the noise canceling of these headphones is one of the best I have tested.
User-friendly app
I adjust my sound preferences with the Bose Music app. So I choose to emphasize the bass when I want to. I choose the same for mid and high tones. This is done in a simple way and I hear results immediately. This app is simple to use and therefore suitable for both audio enthusiasts and beginners. I also adjust the noise canceling in the app. Bose has come up with a number of presets to control this. For example, Bose has a separate setting for home, office or outdoors. These presets dampen ambient noise differently depending on the situation, so I can always enjoy my music in silence.
No wearing detection
Most headphones in this price range have wearing detection. This technology automatically pauses music when you take off the headphones. Unfortunately, these headphones don't have that. Personally, I think this is a shame. Wearing detection increases the ease of use of headphones for me.
Battery lasts a long time
The battery of the headphones is 24 hours. This is long enough for me to listen to music and podcasts for 2 full days. If it runs out of power, I charge it in 15 minutes for an extra 2.5 hours of battery life.
