If you can only take 1 lens with you in your photo bag for a full frame Sony E mount camera, then that is this lens. The range of 24-105mm is suitable for all situations. With modern cameras, F4 is no problem at all, even in dark rooms. The only advantage of faster glass F2.8 is the bouquet, but then you also carry more glass weight. Compared to the Sony F2.8 24-70 mm GM, this lens performs very well. In the center, the sharpness is equivalent, in the corners at full aperture it is slightly softer than the 24-70 mm GM, but that is the same with a stop lower at f5.6. The Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 is almost equal to the 24-70mm GM, but this lens only goes up to 28mm, then you'll really miss the 24mm for landscapes, family photos, small spaces! In terms of sharpness, this lens is much better than the Sony Zeis 24-70 mm F4. In short, a good all-rounder, not perfect, but what a lens for its price! You certainly won't regret this lens. If you really have the money and want to carry multiple lenses, I'd say go for the sigma 24-70mm F2.8 and Sony 70-200mm F4 or the sigma 70-180mm F2.8
