Compared to the Sony F2.8 24-70 mm GM, this lens performs very well. In the center, the sharpness is equivalent, in the corners at full aperture it is slightly softer than the 24-70 mm GM, but that is the same with a stop lower at f5.6. The Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 is almost equal to the 24-70mm GM, but this lens only goes up to 28mm, then you'll really miss the 24mm for landscapes, family photos, small spaces!
