I mainly compare this vacuum cleaner with the Dyson DC48 Animalpro, given that it was the previous vacuum cleaner.
It is striking - as often stated in the reviews - that the vacuum cleaner is quiet. Sometimes you really wonder if it is even on. Great that it can also be vacuumed with little noise. The Dyson had no problems with cat hair on the old couch, but on the current couch it was a workout session. With a lot of effort, the sofa was somewhat free of cat hair. This is a piece of cake with this AEG vacuum cleaner.
This AEG vacuum cleaner is heavier and less manoeuvrable than the Dyson. The Dyson often fell over. I see both points more as "getting used to" rather than taking them very seriously. The long and flat cord is very nice, 1 socket per floor is sufficient and the doors easily go over the cord, without anything getting stuck, which happened with the Dyson. I also read somewhere that this vacuum cleaner would be inconvenient on stairs. I have a staircase with two curves and this vacuum cleaner fits perfectly in the vertical position, so I don't experience that awkwardness myself.
Used it twice more, but vacuuming the sofa in particular is now a lot more pleasant and I also really like the fact that there is no more dust swirling around. Those are my main points, which made me choose this vacuum cleaner.
