Not only is this a very nice model, but it does not take up too much space. The coffee maker stands out with its stainless steel appearance. I do have the feeling that I have brought in a cool model. The steam pipe brings out the inner barista in me and is very curious to test this guy.
Touchscreen display shows the coffees
The different coffees are shown on the screen with an icon. I can choose between many variations. From black cups to a latte macchiato. Fancy! I click on a coffee specialty and choose whether I want to adjust the coffee strength. Or, for the milk specialty, the temperature of the milk and the foam thickness. Great, because that way I can make the coffee to my own taste.
Frothing milk without bubbles
Frothing the milk is accompanied by the brewing process. After I fill the jug with milk, the machine does its job. The milk does not have a foam layer that is too thick, perhaps too thin for a cappuccino. But luckily you can adjust the thickness of the milk foam. Next time I'll make it a bit thicker. What strikes me is that the foam has few bubbles, the foam layer is almost even. This makes the foam very soft and very firm. What I think is a big plus is that I can pour the frothed milk myself. This way you also have a role during the brewing of coffee.
Sample package of cups, plenty of choice
The coffee machine comes with a sample pack with different cups. These are for espressos, lungos, decaffeinated and a barista special. You get a nice package to boot, so you find out which cups you like and which you like to skip next time. Because of this I bought a new packaging with the cups that I like.
Keep up with maintenance
Despite the beautiful model, it does get dirty quickly. You can spot stains with one touch, so keep it clean. The steam pipe should be cleaned daily. A big stick behind the door, because that way you know that no milk residues are left behind. I don't like maintenance very much, but the machine explains the tasks step by step. This is nice, so you can carefully complete the tasks and the device will last a long time.
