Use cases:
Listening to music while running
Switching between 2 or more devices via the Shokz app
Use in an office
I'd been looking for earbuds/headphones for running for a while. The AirPods Gen 3 and Ali earplugs weren't very comfortable.
The Shokz Openfit 2+ stay in place very well and you barely feel them.
Regarding outdoor sound, I turned on spatial audio in the Shokz app so I could hear the music better without adjusting the volume.
With strong headwinds and along busy roads, the music is harder to hear. This is acceptable for me. I have paired the Shokz Openfit 2+ with my Apple Watch Ultra 1 and offline Spotify. A 1-hour workout and listening to music uses between 30-40% of the Apple Watch's battery.
I have multiple devices for which I use headphones. Current headphones (Plantronics Voyager 8200 and Sony WH-1000XM4) have some limitations regarding switching.
In the app, under multipoint pairing, Shokz has a device history that shows which devices you've paired the earbuds with. This allows you to quickly and easily switch to a different device. I now regularly switch between six devices.
At the office, I often used the Plantronics headphones. They often suffered from poor Bluetooth connectivity and auto-mute issues.
I experienced no problems at all with the Shokz OpenFit 2+.
Since the ears aren't closed off, you can listen to music and follow conversations in the office.
If you wear glasses with temples that extend behind your ears, it can take some getting used to at first. I feel like the earbuds are looser and could fall out at any moment, which isn't possible with the ear hooks.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
