The Bosch KGN392I1F fridge-freezer has a VitaFresh fresh zone for meat, fish, vegetables, and fruit. This way, I keep my salmon fillet and grapes fresh for longer. When I have friends over for dinner, I have plenty of room for all my groceries. I can quickly cool bottles of wine thanks to super cooling and store them securely on the bottle rack. This rack does take up quite a bit of space, but I can easily remove it.
First impression
What immediately struck me was the refrigerator's sleek design. The front is brushed steel and has an anti-fingerprint finish. This reduces fingerprints, so I clean the front less often. The refrigerator compartment is spacious and has three adjustable shelves. I can customize the refrigerator's layout myself thanks to the flexible interior. If I have a large carafe of homemade sangria, I can easily remove the shelves. This means I don't have to cram it in.
Fresh for longer
The refrigerator has two fresh zones. The VitaFresh 0-degree zone is for meat and fish. Here, the temperature stays around freezing, which is better for salmon fillet and steak. For vegetables and fruit, I use the VitaFresh XXL drawer. This spacious crisper keeps the humidity high. This keeps my apples, cucumbers, and grapes nice and crisp. Because there's plenty of space, I also store a whole pineapple or a large piece of watermelon.
Quiet and energy-efficient
The refrigerator is remarkably quiet. Therefore, I barely hear any noise in my open-plan kitchen. Thanks to the low noise level, I can work quietly at home at the kitchen table. That's great when I have an online meeting; I'm never distracted. I also really appreciate the low energy consumption. The refrigerator has an A energy rating, which saves me a lot of energy. This keeps my energy bill low.
Bottle rack
For my dinner with friends, I get a few bottles of wine. I place them securely on the bottle rack to keep them from rolling around in the refrigerator. With the super cooling function, my drinks get cold faster. The bottle rack takes up quite a bit of space, so I don't put other groceries in it. When I need extra room for a pot of soup, I remove the rack.
Freezer Compartment
I divide pizzas, ice cream, and frozen meals among the three transparent freezer drawers. These stay ice-free thanks to NoFrost, so defrosting is unnecessary. This saves me a lot of hassle.
Door Alarm
If the door doesn't close properly, a door alarm sounds. I can barely hear it from the couch because it's very quiet. The alarm also sounds if I take too long to put my groceries away. In such cases, I appreciate that the sound isn't loud and annoying. But if I really forget the door, which thankfully rarely happens, it could be a bit louder.
