I've had the Shark Flexstyle for a while now, which I bought as a cheaper alternative. Although this hairdryer also works well, I was still very curious about the Dyson hairdryer and whether it was really any better considering the higher price. I bought it on sale and I'm truly amazed. The hairdryer dries your hair really quickly, and I have very thick/curly hair, so that's quite an achievement. I also create beautiful curls with the defuse nozzle that look healthy and shiny, and it dries super fast. (As a small bonus, the Dyson is also much quieter, which I really appreciate.) I'm completely sold and super happy with my purchase. I think if you have thicker or curly hair like me, you'll get more out of this Dyson than the Shark. My only drawback so far is that it doesn't come with a storage/travel case or bag. I've ordered something from Amazon that also works well, but for the price, it should have been included.
