The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Elite is a very good gaming headset with many adjustment options. This headset has top-notch sound with excellent noise cancellation. This allows me to focus on my games. The headset is a bit heavy, but that doesn't bother me too much.
Quick setup
When I open the box, I see the headset, a GameDAC, a pop filter, an extra battery, three USB-A to USB-C cables, and a 3.5mm audio cable. There's also a handy carrying case in the box. I didn't use it, but it can be handy if you're taking the headset with you. I connect the GameDAC to my PlayStation 5 with one of the USB cables. This is easy, as the headset connects directly to the docking station.
First impression
The headset feels very sturdy. I notice it's a bit heavy when I hold it, but that doesn't bother me even after three hours of gaming. I really like the colors of the headset. I'm a bit overwhelmed by the sheer number of audio settings available. But that makes the headset perfect for avid gamers.
Connecting to multiple platforms
I don't just connect the docking station to my PlayStation 5. I also use the other cables to connect it to devices like my PC or PlayStation. The GameDAC mixes this audio simultaneously, allowing me to easily switch between platforms. This is useful when gaming on multiple platforms or communicating with friends.
Beautiful, clear audio
I like the connection between the docking station and the headset. I notice that my in-game audio sounds clear. Footsteps in games are clearly audible, especially when I set a special audio profile for this via the Arctis Companion App. The deep bass is also very good, and the overall sound is pleasant.
Good noise cancellation and battery life
The headset's noise cancellation is excellent. I hear little to no ambient noise, allowing me to fully focus on my games. The battery life is also good. Switching batteries is also easy. This means I don't have to charge the headset often and can game for extended periods.
