With the Razer Blackshark V2, I can game for hours without sore ears. The sound from the headset is very good and the microphone is also of top quality. The long cable of the headset sometimes gets in the way and the ear cushions start to itch after a while.
Light and comfortable
When I took the Razer Blackshark V2 gaming headset out of the box, I immediately noticed that the headset was very light. The fabric ear cups and the light headband make for a light yet sturdy headset. In the box I also find a 2 meter cable, which is nice if you are far from your console or PC. But for me this cable is unnecessarily long and therefore quickly tangles or gets in the way.
Easy to use
The Razer Blackshark V2 is pretty much plug and play. I plug the 3.5 millimeter input into my PS5 controller and get started right away. I can easily adjust the sound with the dial on the left ear cup and muting is also easy. I quickly connect the microphone of this headset to the headset and I also quickly remove it if I still want to play a single player game. The microphone is also of good quality. I can be heard clearly during multiplayer games such as Fortnite or Call of Duty.
Great sound
I have tested the Razer Blackshark V2 on 2 platforms. On the PlayStation I played The Last of Us Part 2 and on PC I played several multiplayer games. On the PlayStation 5, I find the sound good enough for a headset of this price. I hear well where enemies come from, but I miss the details such as the softening of voices as they go further and further away. On PC I use the included USB enhancer to make the sound sound even better. Here the sound already sounds a lot better after some adjustments in the Razer software. Razer's software is also very easy to use and really makes a big difference.
