What could be a nicer review than after exactly 600 days of use! This morning my father-in-law asked for advice on purchasing a new appliance. He was interested in the device that we had purchased from Coolblue. Of course I was immediately curious how many cups of coffee we had already tapped. The score: 4883 cups of coffee!

The machine works fine and simple. In combination with the Hema beans that we use, a tasty cup of coffee comes out. It is not the most silent device. But which coffee machine is that. Grinding beans makes noise. However, messages regularly appear on the screen for descaling and for emptying all containers. Even if the trays aren't full yet. The system therefore works with a timer that gives a message after every x number of cups of coffee. Sometimes that is annoying, because in the meantime we have already emptied the bins ourselves. Well, little sorrow!

The coffee is always top notch. We use the functions for, for example, latte macchiato less often than expected. The taste is great, but the pure black gold is always our preference ;-) Could I therefore have purchased a cheaper device? Perhaps. But my daughters love a latte. Also visit. So being able to offer that little bit of extra choice is great!

We have had this device for two months now. We don't regret this new device for a minute! In short: you get great coffee and you can set a lot on the device. Cleaning is very easy, only the inside has a number of corners that are not easy to reach. The milk system is handy (we put a straw in a milk carton - ideal!) and makes excellent milk specialities.

I had read a lot of reviews beforehand and I think that many reviewers had little or no experience with fully automatic machines. The noise of the device is not too bad; it is 'just' what you can expect. The emptying of the drip tray is also as expected and normal. The temperature of milk specialties seems fine; I do not drink this myself but my wife indicates that it is immediately drinkable. We do use double-walled glasses.

The milk system is much easier to keep clean; the appliance knows when it has too little water and asks to refill; the appliance knows when it is running out of beans and cancels the brewing process. The interface is nice and much more convenient for people who don't feel like reading the manual.

The coffee is very hot and could be even hotter. Setting the cup size in ml is ideal; so the brew sizes are tailored to our cups (you have to do it for a while, but luckily we don't buy new coffee cups every week). The different strengths are fine. You seem to be able to adjust the grind, I didn't do anything with that because I liked the coffee how it came out.

Cleaning is going well. Run the milk program after a milk specialty; rinse the brew group and clean the inside once a week; run the program once a month; descale once a quarter. Do not rub anything with grease, that is not necessary. Do it, otherwise you will end up with vegetables in your coffee.

The only real drawbacks are the plastic housing - which looks nice but gets dirty quickly - and that cleaning the inside is a bit fiddly. But hey, that only bothers you for 5 minutes once a week. The coffee, on the other hand, is very tasty. Oh yeah, and the device is quite expensive - but you also get a lot for it.
