This Samsung RB53DG706AB1 fridge-freezer is very spacious. My entire family's weekly groceries fit in here easily. The shelves can be flexibly arranged and the freezer drawers are very large. The refrigerator is very large at 203 centimetres high, which makes it a bit more difficult to place in the house. Thanks to energy class A, I save a lot on energy costs.
Lots of cooling space
The first thing I notice is that the fridge-freezer is really very large. That's nice, because I regularly have a large amount of groceries in the house. At 203 centimetres high and almost 76 centimetres wide, it was quite a job to put the refrigerator in the right place. But after some puzzling, I managed it. The SpaceMax walls are extra thin, which gives me more space inside for all my containers with food. I see that there are 3 different shelves. I can also halve the first shelf. That is handy for a tall jug of juice.
Fresh zone
There are 2 fresh zones at the bottom of the refrigerator. I put my salmon and steak in the Optimal Fresh Plus zone. I put my grapes, lettuce and strawberries in the Freshbox. The temperature in these drawers is lower than in the rest of the refrigerator. This keeps my fresh groceries fresh for longer and they retain their flavour better. The drawers are also extra spacious. So I can stock up at the greengrocer.
Dual Cooling
The freezer has a lot of space. The top drawer is open, so I can easily grab my favourite oven snacks. One of the accessories of the refrigerator is an ice maker. I think this is great. This way I can easily make a supply of ice cubes. In the middle drawer I easily have room for 2 large bags of chips. The bottom drawer is less deep. This is where I store my smoothie fruit. A handy feature of this refrigerator is Dual Cooling. With this I can also set the freezer section as a cooling section. This gives me extra space for drinks when I am having a party.
Energy-efficient
On the energy label I see that this model has energy class A. That saves me a lot of energy costs. I also see that the refrigerator has a maximum noise level of 34 decibels. This didn't really mean much to me, but I dare say that with this model I don't have to worry about a buzzing sound in the background. I only heard the refrigerator when I left the door open for too long. Then an open door alarm went off.
