OLED EVO technology

G2: 30% brighter than an average OLED TV

G2: 30% brighter than an average OLED TV

In 2021, the G1 was the first LG TV with an OLED EVO panel. In 2022, the G2 also got this technology, which makes the image 30% brighter than with an average OLED TV. The contrast is higher and the difference between black and white is bigger as a result. In short, you can watch lifelike images with subtle color details. The different shaded of orange during a sunset, for example.

C2: 20% brighter than an average OLED TV

C2: 20% brighter than an average OLED TV

The C2 also has the OLED EVO technology, but the images are slightly less bright than on the G2. That's because the peak brightness of the C2 is only 20% brighter than an average OLED TV. So technically, the contrast is slightly lower and you see less color details. You'll only notice this difference if you put the TVs next to each other. You do see slightly more reflections on the screen of the C2 than on that of the G2.

Design

G2: flat design, tightly on the wal

G2: flat design, tightly on the wal

The G2 stands out because of its slim design, as it's only 2.7cm thick. It also has a cutout for cables on the back, so you can mount the TV close to your wall with the included wall mount. The thin bezel around the screen ensures that the entire surface of the TV displays images. If you prefer to place this thin TV on a cabinet, order the leg stands separately.

The C2 also has thin bezels around the screen, so you can enjoy the image to the fullest. The C2 is slightly thicker than the G2 with about 4.7cm. The C2 doesn't include a wall mount. Depending on the inch size, the C2 televisions include different leg stands. The 42-inch model includes 2 leg stands and the 43 and 83-inch models include 1 wide stand, for example. The other inch sizes include 1 small stand in the middle.

Size

G2: from 55 to 83 inches

G2: from 55 to 83 inches

Because of the sleek design, you get the most out of the G2 if you choose a large model. The G2 is available in 4 large sizes. You can choose 55, 65, 77, or 83 inches. Keep in mind that a large TV also requires more space. We recommend a 2m viewing distance with a 55-inch television.

C2: from 42 to 83 inches

C2: from 42 to 83 inches

The C2 is available in multiple sizes. It's the first series with a 42-inch OLED television. This makes the C2 suitable for smaller spaces as well, such as your bedroom. Thanks to the many size options, there's a suitable size for every space.

Conclusion

Thanks to its excellent OLED EVO image quality, included wall mount, and sleep design, the television is very suitable for a home cinema setup. Keep in mind that this TV is only suitable for larger living rooms. You can also enjoy an excellent image quality with the C2, but the image is slightly less bright. But thanks to the many sizes, the C2 is suitable for any space.
