LG OLED55C46LA (2024)

Due to the high brightness and bright colors, I find the LG OLED55C46LA a very pleasant TV to watch. The slim design of the screen is really a luxurious and stylish addition to my interior. High brightness with strong contrast This LG OLED series is equipped with an OLED EVO screen. The peak brightness is 20% higher than a standard oLED screen. I hang the TV in my living room, which is very bright due to the many windows. I am very satisfied with the brightness of the display in broad daylight. Even in bright sunlight, the screen has high brightness and great contrast. This makes dark scenes of an exciting action film clearly visible. I am hardly bothered by reflections on the screen and therefore do not get distracted. Lifelike colors with deep black levels I immediately noticed that this OLED television has a colorful screen. In my spare time I like to relax with a beautiful nature documentary. This TV is a good choice for that. All the colors and textures from the jungle pop off the screen and are very realistic. The deep black levels through the OLED EVO screen are also a big plus for me. I like watching an exciting series or movie. Thanks to the OLED screen, I experience less blooming and I don't see a light glow in deep black parts. Slim design The sleek, slim design of this television really appeals to me. This makes the television a really stylish addition to my interior. The TV comes with 2 feet, so you can easily place it on furniture. I hung the TV myself with a wall bracket. This gives a spacious feeling in my living room. Great sound At the weekend I like to listen to music on the TV, so that I can do other things around the house in the meantime. I notice that the sound of the TV is very clear. Thanks to the Dolby Atmos function, I enjoy surround sound while watching a movie. I do miss the full and deep bass sounds, because there is no built-in soundbar or subwoofer in the TV. I therefore recommend purchasing this separately if you like good sound.

The TV is beautiful, but the remote control magic remote is below par. There is no pause or play button on the ab. so you can't pause the KPN Settop Box. The remote control magic remote of the previous LG TV from 6 years ago did have these play/pause buttons, and paused the stream of the KPN Settop Box. So two buttons have been removed, in their place there are 6 useless advertising buttons for netflix, disney+ etc. Pressing the scroll button would pause the program in apps, but that doesn't work for the KPN settop box. WEBOS asks permission to track and store ALL YOUR VIEWING BEHAVIOR. If you do not agree to these privacy violations, WEBOS will not work, your apps will not work, the voice-controlled instructions will not work. LG has no respect for your privacy with their privacy statement. LG has chosen to capture money through advertising and sacrifice the consumer experience and invasion to track your viewing habits. I had the opportunity to test this product for a few weeks (without paying), and here is my experience: The LG Evo C4, despite minimal changes from the previous model, still delivers the familiar high quality of LG’s OLED TVs. The picture quality is impressive, with improved brightness, color reproduction and shadows. The refresh rate has been increased to 144Hz, which will appeal to PC gamers in particular. The viewing angles are excellent, even at extreme angles, although some users report a greenish tint—I didn’t experience this myself. One thing this model misses is the MLA technology, which could have provided a higher brightness. As for the sound, the quality is reasonable for TV speakers, although you will notice, especially at lower tones, that a soundbar or external speakers would improve the sound considerably. The TV is solidly built, with a metal front and a plastic back, where the ports are also located. The back of the panel has a stylish black-marble finish. The TV has four HDMI 2.1 ports, three USB 2.0 ports and an Ethernet connection. The WebOS operating system offers a comprehensive feature set, with many picture quality settings and support for Dolby Vision, AirPlay, Miracast, Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync. You can control the TV with the remote control, voice, or by making gestures on the remote control, similar to a Wii. A downside of WebOS is the prominence of advertisements and AI features, which somewhat diminishes the user experience, especially considering the price range of this TV. While the LG C4 is a good choice, the G3 and even the C3 currently offer better value for money. The G3 has better picture quality, a lower price and a 5-year warranty on the panel. The C3 offers similar performance for a considerably lower price. In summary: the C4 is a solid TV, but is currently overshadowed in terms of price and features by the C3 and G3.
