I have known for some time that SLR cameras do not have to be big. This is also a nice compact camera where everything seems to be up and running. The device is lightweight and lies comfortably in the hand. The camera does not look too complicated either. The number of buttons is limited. In addition, it is immediately visible what they are for. I am very curious about the user-friendliness of the device and the different possibilities.
** A compact device with enough setting options **
As I am used to SLR cameras, the camera is well in hand. Because of the relatively light weight and the rubber grip, I can easily hold the camera with one hand. Although it is a compact device, I do not miss any setting possibilities. All the buttons I usually use are on it. The screen is also large enough to view my recordings well. I can not tilt the screen alone, but that seems to be the only drawback for the time being.
** With the function guide you learn to set the camera **
During photography I notice that I find all the settings effortlessly. It is clear in almost at a glance what all the buttons are for. The settings can largely be controlled via the buttons and otherwise set via the menu on the camera. In my opinion, starting photography has a lot to do with the job guide that provides text and explanations for institutions. This is also very useful in the various modes, so you see exactly what you use them for.
** Many creative modes for different types of photos **
The creative photographer has good on this device. There are enough modes with which you can take a picture with a special effect without too much trouble. What strikes me is the culinary mode. With this, the camera ensures optimum results in food photography. A nice addition if you ask me. Especially suitable for the Instagrammer who likes to take pictures of his food. Also for the advanced photographer there are plenty of creative options via the manual modes.
** Sharp shots of good quality by advanced system **
The 24.1 megapixel sensor of APS-C format makes my shots detailed and vibrant in color. The camera is accurate in focusing. But because there are only 9 focus points, I did not manage to focus on one small subject. Filming I also do in a good quality, namely in Full HD. A nice movie option was the Snapshot mode. With this you create short films that you later combine into, for example, a daily overview.
In my opinion, both the novice and the advanced photographer can work well with this device. The camera is compact and has a limited number of buttons so you can easily get started. The function guide also helps to understand the device. Because of the manual setting possibilities I made recordings with my own creative insight. I am also very satisfied with the quality of my photos and videos taken.
