I'll start this review by describing my situation. I am a person who uses the internet a lot and also needs it for work and hobby. Also, not any internet is good for me because for certain things I would like to get decent connections.
My office is in the attic, but the modem/router is in the living room. This gave me a very unstable connection above with download speeds of 0.7 - 7.0 mbps (www.speedtest.net) while my provider promises 60 mbps. Now I know that it was not the provider's fault, because when I connect directly to the modem with UTP, the connection was perfectly fine.
I've tried everything to make the internet in the attic better. But nothing worked the way I wanted it to. A new router improved it a bit but nothing spectacular. Then I tried some old powerlines but they were very unreliable. Then I saw these and bought them.
After putting them in downstairs and in the attic I immediately started testing, and the quality of the internet is just great. I get speeds that I can get directly from the router. The setup was easy and the result was immediate. Additional settings can also be adjusted and other Devolo powerlines can be added with the supplied software.
Not only the wired connection is excellent, but also the wireless WiFi access point. This one should have a connection that can cover about a 2 bedroom but I get a lot further distances with it though. The connection to this is also fantastic.
To conclude my review, I would say, if you want internet in a place where laying cables would not be possible, buy this one, you will certainly not be disappointed.

Cause: I recently moved to a larger (newly built) apartment. This means that my WIFI has to travel greater distances and also has to deal with thicker walls and more signal interference from WIFI signals from surrounding apartments. My own WIFI signal is sent by a UPC Horizon box, on which I have activated all services (so TV, telephone and internet on 1 device). It's in the living room, under my TV. As a result, I had poor to no range (and signal interference) in my other rooms. A loss if you want to check your mail from your bed or work/study at home in another room.
Solution: By running the internet through the power group, I can have fast internet in every room. Multiple reviews, both users and experts, are praising this brand of powerline adapters. So my choice was quickly made.
Product findings: Fantastic. The installation was very simple and done within a few minutes (don't forget to copy the password on the back of the adapter before you plug it in. You can change this later.). In addition to the Horizon (router) in the power (directly! So no extension cord and/or power strip!), cable between the adapter and the Horizon, another adapter in the desired place in the power (also directly) and voilĂ ! Internet everywhere!
It covers even better than the UPC Horizon! Once logged in, you can easily download software via the website (MacBook is no problem, I have it too) and then set everything up if you want: for example name, password, time access, child protection, guest access, filters, move technology and even whether you want the LED lights on the adapters on or off (durable!).
The only downside I can find: you have lost your socket. If you really don't want that, there are models (also Devolo I think) that offer an adapter WITH a socket in it.
So I have been more than helped with this product. Me and my girlfriend can use our laptops, smartphones, iPad, smart TV and game console from anywhere on the internet. If that's what you're looking for, I recommend this investment. We should have done it a lot sooner, haha.
Oh, by the way: CoolBlue's service and reporting around the delivery was sublime! A smile from ear to ear! #instantfanforlife ;-)

The minuses state: "Powerline adapters will not work in a junction box, extension cord, or reel"
Works fine for me in a junction box and extension cord. Installing is a piece of cake. Plug in, press the button, enter the WiFi key number and you're done. Installation explanation is clear. Then look up the network, log in (with the corresponding devola WiFi key number) and use it. You actually get an extra WiFi network. Recommended. The only pity is that there is no integrated socket in the plug(s). So you have lost a socket or with multiple plugs, more sockets. On the other hand, you can also plug a LAN connection into the plugs.
