According to our smartwatch expert
The Fitbit Charge 2 keeps you informed of your activities throughout the day, whether you're at work or at the gym. The big screen shows you how many steps you've taken and what your heart rate is. In addition, the tracker analyzes your calorie consumption, sleep rhythm, and the distance you walk. Analyze all of your data on the accompanying Fitbit app. Have you spent too much time at work sitting at your desk? The Charge 2 gives you a sign, when you need to take a little walk. The tracker also indicates when you need to rest by giving you breathing exercises. Messages, calendar notifications, and incoming calls are also shown on the display. Adjust the display to your personal preferences by making a selection from the different
watch faces.
Note: Fitbit isn't compatible with the Huawei P8, P8 Lite, P9, P9 Lite, P10, and P10 Lite.

I've had the Fitbit Charge 2 for a week now. I had the Flex before, but it didn't have many functions and I mainly wanted to be able to measure heart rate. The Charge HR was way too big for my small wrists, but the Charge 2 really fits perfectly! I was so happy when it turned out in a store that it fit well that I immediately ordered it from Coolblue. (I always order everything from Coolblue hihi)
I really like that you can keep track of your activity during the day in a fashionable way. The navigation through the options in the screen goes well. You can also set which options you want to see.
Syncing with the app also works well, although it sometimes doesn't capture everything in one go, such as the heartbeat pattern. I really like that, in the active time that you set yourself, it gives a signal every 10 minutes before the hour when you have not yet taken at least 250 steps that hour. Sometimes you just don't realize you've been sitting for almost an hour! And when you have made it for the full hour, you will see nice uplifting texts in the display.
I also use it to monitor my running sessions and yoga class. He is also super nice. You don't feel it. You hold down the button and the activity is measured. The only clumsy thing I find is that the Charge 2 doesn't automatically connect to your phone's GPS. You first have to open the app on your phone and then it makes contact with your Charge 2. That actually means that you have already lost a minute of your training, because you also have to open your app and then put your phone away in your pocket or something. That's a pity, but also insurmountable! :) You can also set an interval workout. For example, I had set it to run for 6 minutes, walk for 2 minutes, and do that 5 times in a row. Then the Charge 2 will lift every time your block of time is up and you know that you can go for a walk/run. Very handy!
I find the charging method a bit clumsy. It is a kind of clip that you click around the Charge 2. But because the pins with which the charger makes contact with the device are so thin, I'm afraid to break it. This isn't happening, but that's how it feels. ;) It will also be a matter of practice! :D Charging is via USB so I charge it while driving to work. Super handy! The battery now lasted about 5-6 days! Despite measuring a running session (35 minutes) and yoga session (1.5 hours).
Furthermore, there are many more functions, such as sleep measurement, vibrating alarm and counting your stairs and much more! I don't use the link with your phone to get notifications of incoming calls and texts, so I can't say anything useful about this. :)
I am very satisfied with the Charge 2! I hope he can be my buddy for a long time to come. ;)

I bought the fitbit because I wanted to motivate myself to live a little healthier, without logging everything right away. I certainly achieved that goal, because apart from eating and drinking (if you want to log that at all), the Fitbit logs everything for you. The measurements of heart rate, number of steps, activity (longer duration, higher heart rate) and sleep quality are all very strong. I've compared them against several alternatives and as long as you don't try hard to mislead them, they are very accurate. What I like about the fitbit is that due to the various measurements it takes, it can also generate a lot of extra information through the combination of different data, unlike wearables that, for example, do not measure heart rate or steps.
With data from the band and manual input, the app shows how far you are with your daily goals, such as number of steps, activity, number of stairs walked, calories burned, etc. And you can compare everything with last week or month, or a challenge set with friends. You will then receive a rewarding notification on the app, an animation on the strap, or a badge or throphy for a achieved goal. That may sound silly, but it is very contagious to take it one step further.
As far as I'm concerned, the negatives are more 'nagging points', they don't really outweigh the positives. For example, I find the strap a bit sporty and therefore not nice with every outfit. Even though it is comfortable, it is still large and if you have it on 24/7, it can be annoying. In addition, he is empty after 3.5 days for me and that is quite often charging. Charging itself is very fast, within two hours.
All in all a lot of fun with little effort. That was my goal and I succeeded. Now all those internal fitbit goals...

Nice gadget! Battery lasts about 6 days.
The only 'disadvantage' is that everything is in English, and I mainly mean the app. If you want to enter your food for example, sometimes difficult ;-)
