For years I had a Logtech M500. I have had it for over 8 years and I was very satisfied with it. The nice thing about that mouse was the size (I have quite large hands) and the design, so that your hand and thumb lay well over it.

Despite the intensive use for 8 years, that mouse only now started showing problems due to buttons that no longer worked properly (speaks for the quality of Logitech as far as I'm concerned). In the meantime, I had also been bothered by the not so precise sensor for a while, which was very disturbing when working with images in detail. I also noticed that the weight was just too little, so you moved the mouse just too much for fine actions. So I was looking for a new mouse, preferably the same in shape, with a better sensor and heavier. After deliberation between various mice (including another M500 and mice especially for gaming with more buttons and more adjustable weight) I came to the G403. I liked the simplicity, the small number of buttons and the color.

It didn't disappoint when I unpacked and plugged in the mouse. The size is almost the same as my old M500. In terms of material, the mouse also exudes a qualitative solidity, just like my old one. The buttons click very nicely. The greater stiffness of the scroll wheel took some getting used to.

The lighting also took some getting used to, which changes color continuously without using the Logitech software that you can download (I haven't used the software myself yet). I like the responsiveness of the mouse on the screen. You can also change the speed of the mouse pointer on the mouse itself with the button directly behind the scroll wheel (4 positions), making it from very slow to very fast and so you have to move the mouse a lot or very little.
