According to our mouse expert
The Razer Lancehead Tournament Edition is a gaming mouse suitable for both left and right-handed gamers. The Razer Lancehead has thumb buttons on both sides of the mouse, so anyone can use it for gaming. If you aren't using one side, you can deactivate those buttons with the Razer Synapse Software. The Tournament edition is wired, so you won't loose your mouse and you won't have an empty battery mid-LAN. The switches in the left and right mouse buttons of the Lancehead are mechanical. They provide a satisfying click sound and ensure that your games really register every click. The two Chroma light strips along the sides of the mouse provide a subtle, programmable light show when you're not using the mouse.

I've been using the mouse for about 3 months now before writing this review. I came from an 8 year old Razer Copperhead mouse that has always done well, but I was ready for something new. Given that I am left handed, I came across this mouse. Unfortunately, there isn't that much choice for left-handers. It's that I still had a gift voucher from Coolblue and I was interested in this mouse, because otherwise I would have found it too expensive to be honest.
I play a lot of fast online shooter games, but not at a competitive level, so this mouse seemed like a good choice because of the excellent sensor in combination with the beautiful lighting. I have fairly large hands myself, but this mouse feels very good in terms of shape. However, there is no space to place my little finger, but I'm used to that from my previous mouse, so that's not a problem for me. However, the curvature of the mouse could have been slightly more backwards, so that it fits better in the palm of the hand. I found this slightly better with the Copperhead, but luckily you get used to it quickly and it is not at all disturbing.
The buttons and scroll wheel feel very nice, especially the left and right mouse buttons. These are light, but not too much. The mouse has many buttons that all have a lot of customization options. For example, I put the DPI Up and DPI Down on the side buttons. The DPI can be adjusted in steps of 50 by the way.
The weight of the mouse could have been at least 10 grams lighter for the price, but luckily you get used to it quickly. That's why it falls just short as a mouse for competitive games, I think, especially if you move your mouse a lot with a low sensitivity. I myself use a fairly high sensitivity around 1600 dpi, so it doesn't bother me that much. I have the feeling that the weight distribution of the mouse is slightly more to the rear, but this is also not disturbing when lifting. After all, the rubber grip on the sides is very good. The mouse also glides easily over my mouse pad (Steelseries QcK mini).
The software (Razer Synapse) is user-friendly, clear and easy to install. The mouse has a built-in memory profile, so any adjustments made in Synapse are also stored in the mouse itself. Especially with the lighting options you can stay busy for hours, there are so many possibilities. You can even control each LED separately. I did have to reinstall the program a few times after a Windows update, because it simply no longer worked. So it's not perfect, but Razer is working on this. Automatic updates for Synapse are therefore regularly released.
All in all, very satisfied with this mouse and my in-game performance has even improved slightly, partly due to the good sensor. Hopefully this mouse will last just as long as the previous one.

It is a good mouse with a top sensor that fits comfortably in the hand. The side buttons take some getting used to if you're used to being a Deathadder.
