According to our smartwatch expert
The Emporio Armani Connected Smartwatch ART5000 has a cool, stylish appearance that you'd expect from an Armani watch. You connect it to your Android smartphone or iPhone, so you can leave that in your bag or pocket. You control the watch using the color touchscreen or with voice command. You can flip through your music library and play your favorite songs, while in the meantime, the ART5001 counts your steps and the calories you've burned. You can read the counts on the watch face or in the accompanying app. Incoming call? The caller ID will be shown on the screen and you can answer or decline the call on the watch.

Introduction:
If you're looking at this watch you must have noticed the design, that most likely is why you want this watch. This isn't a nice smartwatch, it's a nice watch that's smart!
Usage:
I use this watch with an Iphone 8 Plus, and it works just as I expected. Though, that's exactly the catch. You should know what to expect. What I wanted was a watch that shows me notifications, allows me to control spotify, shows me my agenda, shows caller ID's and also very important; reminders. That's what I expected, nothing more. I don't need to call with my watch, I just want to see the caller IDs. I don't need navigation, I don't need camera control (however, if supported on IOS I'd coniseder using it occasionally).
Software:
IOS 11.11 and android wear 2.0 are not the best combination, because it's fairly limited. Most things you want it to do it can do. But to be honest, I don't mind. I knew what to expect, and that was more than enough for me. I won't dig into the features of Android Wear 2.0, you'll find more/better explanations online.
The design:
It's amazing, solid build quality and even better are the small details. I'm not a man that needs someone else to know what brand I wear. I wear something because I like it, not for the value of it. You won't find the Armani logo everywhere, it's very subtle. It's on the crown and the inside of the wristband. The standard watchfaces also include the logo where the 12 would be located.
The screen:
It's great, very visible, great resolution. Brightness is more than fine, it adjusts automatically and you can also set it to manual based on five levels. It doesn't have a 'flat tire', meaning the screen is completely round, which is a no brainer for me now a days.
battery:
It's 360MaH. For me plenty to get through the day. I'm not a heavy user, but I do really use it's features. Meaning I always have the screen on, I don't like a black hockey puck on my wrist. I easily get through a day, with 30% left most times. Charging takes about 2.5 hours. 50% takes about 30/45 minutes.
Charging the device requires a little practice, as it is a clumsy magnetic charger, when it's connected it easily gets disconnected, so make sure you don't move it whilst charging.
The package:
It's simple, yet elegant. You get a fairly small rectangular box, in it are two booklets, and a box with a zipper. In the box with the zipper are; -A magnetic charger (no wall adapter!) -The watch -Protective foam (and a lot of it as well)
Features in combination with IOS (for as far as my knowledge reaches):
-Notifications of ALL apps. (With whatsapp calls you get a notification that you're being called, you can NOT accept/reject, this must be done on your phone) -Alarms -Call rejecting/accepting -Timer -Stopwatch -Flashlight -Reminders -Google Translate -Weather -Google Feed -Google play store -Music app control (Spotify, Google play, Apple music, etc.)
conclusion:
It's a great watch, even better in combination with android. If you know what to expect and you are OK with that it's more than fine with IOS for me. Don't buy this watch in combination with an Iphone if you want to get everything out of android wear, you would definately need an android phone for that. And to be completely honest, with updates the experience on IOS will only get better. It might take some time, but it's worth while. For me, it's already more than enougn, and I don't need anything else.
Overall I'm very happy, and wouldn't want anything else anymore, it's stylish, smart, and does everything I need it to do.
