After an unforeseen delay at the carrier, I finally picked up the television myself in The Hague, where excellent help was provided. The day off that I had taken in vain was compensated by Coolblue to my full satisfaction.
But hey, this is about TV. In terms of design, it is a nice copy, thin, narrow bezels around the screen and a simple but effective remote control. The remote control is equipped with dedicated Netflix and Google Play buttons. A downside is the separate power supply, I would have preferred that it was built into the TV. The TV is equipped with 20cmx20cm VESA suspension points, so hanging it on the already installed VESA support was a piece of cake. It was immediately noticeable that the TV weighs little, which is also apparent from the back of the TV, which feels a bit cheap. The buttons for the controls on the back also feel a bit cheap. Not really a problem in my opinion, you will rarely or rarely use them. E.e.a. also has to do with the segment in which this TV is placed in terms of price. Despite the fact that I went from a 40 inch Bravia TV to a 49 inch Bravia TV, it is not the case that I suddenly feel like a beast is hanging on the wall. This is in large part due to the thin bezels around the screen.
The image quality is excellent, my previous TV was more than 10 years old (KDL40-HX800), so the image is quickly a relief. Now after a week of watching TV and Netflix, I can say that the image is excellent and a very big step forward compared to my previous TV. I have read a few reviews on the internet but have actually seen little or nothing of the disadvantages that are mentioned in many reviews (blooming and motion blur). Everyone looks at the image in their own way, so it is better that you form your own opinion about it. I'm super happy with it. Likewise with the quality of the image when I watch TV via the built-in Chromecast Ultra, you can see the difference immediately when HDR or even 4K-HDR image material is shown on the TV. Watching series and movies via Netflix is a pleasure when the image quality is HDR or 4K HDR. Please note that you need a special Netflix subscription for HDR and 4K HDR. By the way, take the time to set up the image, you have to sit down for this, but the result is also worth it.
The TV runs on Android TV and I like it very much, the version of Android TV with which it was delivered left something to be desired in my opinion, since this morning there is a new version. The new version of Android TV is the Oreo version and I actually encounter few to no problems. Everything is easy to find, set up and operate. Personal preference is also relevant here.
The sound of this TV is bad in my experience, a problem that many thin TVs suffer from. I am very critical in that respect, but that is mainly because all my sound goes through a Marantz SR7005 receiver and is played on KEF speakers (2 uprights, 3 satellite and a sub). My major concern when purchasing this TV was therefore whether sound via the HDMI connection with ARC (Audio Return Channel) would be processed properly. The latter does not appear to be a problem. With 1080p (Full HD) footage and 4K HDR from Netflix, there is no problem. My receiver plays the DD+ audio signal nicely.
There are two things about this TV that don't work the way I want them to. One is that the Guide does not remember which favorites setting to use for the Guide. With great regularity I have to indicate that I do not want to see all channels but only the favorites that I have set, which is annoying. The built-in Chromecast ultra cannot communicate with Google Home. Strange story but it really won't work, for example I can't change the name of the Chromecast, KD-49FX8505 is an annoying device name to pronounce when I'm running through my Google Home mini to command things here in the house. Finally did this work through the settings in the TV? Even after the update to Android TV Oreo, the Chromecast in the TV still refuses to communicate with Google Home. Incidentally, the Chromecast works excellently when using the Netflix app on the TV. Not something to be completely blown away by and for me absolutely no reason to return the TV. All in all, a good looking TV with a nice set of features and especially for a good price.

I definitely recommend it, if you want a very good 4k TV but want smaller than 55 inches. The standard 100hz screen provides nice flows while gaming and watching sports.

We have had this TV for a few weeks now. In the beginning, we had some trouble finding the right/most beautiful image quality. So it took some searching before we got the image really sharp. But once that was done, it really is a very nice and clear image with bright colors. The size of the TV is just right, a nice big picture but not too bulky. Because there is a thin edge around the TV, you have an optimal image. There is a voice function on the remote control which is handy, it will immediately look up what you are saying. When switching to Netflix, it is sometimes a bit slow. But all in all a great TV!
