After several years of living without a dryer, we can now test the Miele TWH 620WP Eco for 4 weeks. At the time of writing, we have had this dryer for a week now. As a family with 2 children you have quite a bit of laundry, normally I wash once a day and hang this out and wait for it to dry. Especially in winter this is a crime. The operation is very simple, you turn the knob to the right type of laundry and you press start. Before you press the start button, the dryer will indicate how long it expects the drying to take. However, this time changes after you have pressed the start button and the time is counted down on the content. Very nice, despite the fact that the dryer has been quite full several times, the drying process took a maximum of 1.5 hours. However, the remaining time does not show the entire drying program. This appears to be standard on this dryer, but can easily be changed after reading the manual. When the dryer is ready, it gives a signal. However, this signal does not stop but repeats itself every 15 seconds. This can also be set differently, but it is smart to do before you want to use the dryer at night. Clothes are neatly dried in this dryer. Where our previous dryer needed 2 to 3 hours, this Miele, as mentioned, only needed 1.5 hours and has not yet produced any shrunken clothes. However, the bedding is a different story. The dryer offers a separate program for bedding but somehow the bedding does not dry in 1 drying cycle. According to Miele, this dryer should be "whisper quiet". Then I wonder how much DB whispering produces according to Miele. It certainly doesn't make much noise, but for a device that works "whisper-quiet" I had a different expectation. This dryer contains FragranceDos, which gives your laundry a nice scent during drying. 1 capsule is included with delivery. The dryer offers space for 2 capsules, where you can indicate whether and how much fragrance it is allowed to emit. Even the lowest setting gives your laundry a wonderful scent, which lingers in your clothes for a few days. With our previous dryer, I had to use fabric softener during the wash to keep clothes and bedding smelling fresher for longer. You no longer need that with the FragranceDos. New FragranceDos capsules can be ordered online in various scents for 11.95 per capsule. According to Miele, a capsule lasts about 50 turns. If you like the FragranceDos as much as we do, take a good look at the information you received when purchasing the washing machine, because it contains a discount coupon for a 2nd capsule for free if you order on the Miele site. A scent card is also included on which you can smell all available scents. The water that is released during drying is stored in the reservoir as standard, but you can also choose to have it run to a drain with a hose.
