According to our television expert
With the Philips 65OLED805, you're sure to get a sharp image with a lifelike contrast and realistic colors. This TV is has an OLED screen, of which the pixels individually light up and produce colors. This way, images that are supposed to be black are a true black. Together with the 10-bit panel and the HDR support, this provides a realistic color representation. For example, you to see all the color details in shadows or a cloud field. Thanks to the smart P5 processor, every image looks sharp and realistic. This processor improves the image from any source, so you can always watch the best image quality. Thanks to the subwoofer at the back of the TV, you listen to sound with a deeper bass. As a result, movies sound even more lively. Your viewing experience takes on a new dimension with Ambilight. This technique lights up the wall behind the TV in the colors of the image.

Bought the Philips 65OLED805 - Ambilight for multiple applications, namely watching TV, streaming, gaming and playing music. Once at home I thought I'd hang the TV on the wall by myself, but with 65 inches that's a no-go. Doable with 2 people. Then you have to go through some actions to connect the TV to your network and Google home. As soon as everything worked, I immediately threw Netflix on and gave me a world of difference in terms of image. We come from a Samsung +/- 45 inch. Then cranked up the xbox one x and started playing 4K. The image including the ambilight system really gives an in-depth experience. Tip: If you're watching/gaming in the evening, turn off all lighting and only turn on the TV with ambilight. This was the reason for me to buy this TV. I also noticed that the ambilight system as an AI needed to learn something, because in the beginning the colors came across a bit jerky. Now no more trouble at all. Unfortunately, there are some downsides: I find setting up apps too complex compared to the Samsung system I had before. You can't set some things and you have many options for other things. Then the remote control looks nice, but it is still difficult to find buttons. And if you are looking for something at night, you have to press a button to get the lighting on and then you have 1 second to find your button, then the lighting goes off again. Furthermore, I notice that the ambilight button does not work with every "source". When I have spotify open I have to adjust the ambilight system via settings instead of the handy button at the top of the remote control. And lastly, I've noticed lately that my iPhone 11 is struggling to broadcast something via chromecast. Sometimes I spend a few minutes trying to get a picture on my TV and I don't really know what it is.
Fantastic TV that gives a great viewing experience. I accept all minuses, although the TV would be completely finished if they could update these kinds of dots via software.
Photo added because the opportunity is there, but you have to see the TV in real life to get the best view of it. ♪Badumtsss♪

Specially waited for this unit to order. Correct delivery by Coolblue.
Very simple to assemble.
It is a beautiful panel with fantastic contrast thanks to the OLED panel. 4K fragments come into their own.
Some important downsides: During installation, the Ambilight+Hue was not available in the menu. This was remedied by calling Philips customer service. Apparently they can activate this remotely, but I don't understand why this is turned off by default. However, after connecting it to my Hue Bridge, this also doesn't seem to work at all. Although the Hue lights come on, nothing else happens.
The built-in speaker on this device can be called downright bad and I therefore recommend connecting an external sound source.
Provided our amplifier does not have an optical input or HMDI ARC support, we decided to opt for the headphone output. However, Philips has made a very strange choice here. The volume of the internal speakers is split from the volume of the headphone output. This means that you CANNOT influence the volume with the volume keys. Very annoying! You can only adjust this deep in the settings. Another possibility is that you use the remote control of the stereo, but it is a pity that you still need 2 remotes.
We also tried to convert the optical connection to an analog signal, but this gave the same result. The volume keys are therefore only linked to the internal speakers of the device. Biggest downside.
The remote control is qualitatively finished. The back in particular catches the eye with a faux-leather finish. The buttons are tactile. However, the lighting only comes on when a button is pressed. It would be better to work here with a touch sensor or motion sensor in such a way that it lights up BEFORE you click on something.
