Beautiful monitor. I use this for office work instead of 2 x 24 inches. Now I can do my work 'straight ahead' instead of always turning left or right. The very edge of the monitor is quite far away and for office work you end up a bit outside the ideal viewing angle and therefore you get some discoloration.
The monitor is (also due to the larger beam) not very deep and therefore I have space for the monitor on a desk of 80 cm, my laptop in front of it and an external keyboard in front of it.
The webcam does work with Apple stuff, but the automatic connection of the 'busy' light etc. only works with Windows.
The sound of my laptop is much better than that of the monitor, so don't expect too much from it.
The specifications state that a USB-C to C/A is included. That was not included, and a display port cable is also not included. To connect my MacBook I bought a display port cable (based on previous reviews here). It transmits images at maximum resolution at 75Hz, but the displayport connection of the monitor is not able to supply power to the macbook. After a lot of hassle via Philips customer service, I finally found out that it only works on USB-C, but that cable is not included. Of course it is possible to connect both displayport + USB to the laptop, but I did not want that.
Philips indicates that they cannot supply that cable either, but fortunately Coolblue does have it. In the end, it turns out that a thunderbolt 4 cable is needed that is suitable for 8K images. I have that in between now and it provides images at full resolution, maximum 60Hz. And therefore power delivery.
All's well that ends well, but it was with bumps.
