I was always interested in VR, but found the resolution on the old set far too low and the games not convincing enough. With PSVR 2, the price tag was a bit of a shock at first, but I finally decided to give in.
I currently own 8 PSVR 2 games across multiple genres and haven't regretted it for a second. I've found that while VR game announcements have always been a little off to me because trailers couldn't convey the right experience, that same game can still blow me away in VR.
Horizon as the biggest example in the trailers, it seemed like a glorified tech demo that was graphically in between PS4 and PS5, but after playing it myself I left with a much more positive impression. Gt 7 is fantastic and then you have indie games like Pistol Whip that make you feel like you're in a John Wick movie while doing a whole workout that leaves you sweating afterwards.
I think it's pretty clear that I've gone from curious to convinced in a relatively short period of time. Would I blindly recommend it? Not that I'm lucky that I didn't experience a second of motion sickness, but I can imagine that if you're sensitive to that, this isn't for you. But if you are curious and would like to know what VR could mean then I would say buy it!
