Meta Quest 3: pancake lenses and a sharper image
The Meta Quest 3 has flat pancake lenses and an LCD display with 4K+ resolution. Thanks to the lenses, the image is sharp and there's almost no distortion. Thanks to the wide lens settings of 53 to 70mm, you can adjust the lenses exactly to your eye distance. This way, the image is sharper and calmer. The screen is 2064x2208 pixels per eye is about 30% sharper than the Quest 3S, so every Meta game looks lifelike in the headset.
Meta Quest 3S: not as adjustable and less sharp
The Meta Quest 3S has Fresnel lenses and an HD LCD display. The lenses provide a wide field of view, but the image is a bit less sharp than that of the Quest 3 due to the boiling. You can choose from 3 IPD settings, so they're less precisely adjustable. It has the same fast Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 processor with 8GB RAM as the Quest 3. This way, your games and apps feel smooth, bright, and fluent.
