I tested the Philips Dual Stacked 4000 Series NA462/70 in my own kitchen. Thanks to its slim, stacked design, it fits easily on my countertop. The illuminated viewing window lets me keep a close eye on the cooking process without opening the drawers.
Ease of Use
The controls are clear and quick to use. I select a program and program each drawer individually to prepare what I'm cooking. With the sync function, both drawers are ready simultaneously, so snacks and fries, for example, are served together. This works well on busy weeknights. The automatic programs help me choose without having to worry about time and temperature. The viewing window provides peace of mind: I can see the doneness and color, without heat loss from opening the drawers.
Performance
The RapidAir hot air circulation cooks my food evenly all around. Fries and snacks turn out crispy with little to no oil. In practice, I find that the top and bottom drawers reach the same cooking level. That's convenient. I can make two dishes simultaneously, each with its own settings, without compromising on results.
Design and placement
The stacked design takes up minimal space. This allows the air fryer to fit on narrow countertops or in a cupboard. The drawers slide smoothly and fit snugly against the viewing window, providing continuous visibility. Do pay attention to placement near an electrical outlet; due to the fixed connection, you'll want to place it close to a power source.
