I dry large loads of laundry energy-efficiently with this Bosch dryer. The drum is spacious and the dryer has an energy rating of B, which saves me energy. With Iron Assist, I reduce my ironing time, SpeedPerfect speeds up my programs, and SmartDry automatically selects the best drying program. This way, I dry my laundry quickly and easily.
First impression
This Bosch dryer looks sleek and has a spacious drum. The display is completely flat, which I like. However, I do notice fingerprints on the screen, which I easily wipe away with a cloth. The dryer has a drum light. This is handy, since the dryer is in my garage and I have low light. There are plenty of different drying programs to dry all my clothes.
Iron Assist
I'm not the biggest fan of ironing. This dryer has two different Iron Assist programs. This program doesn't wash my clothes, but removes wrinkles with drum movements and steam. Filling the water tank is a bit of a challenge. The manual isn't very clear about where the water should go. After a bit of searching, I discovered that the water should go into the machine itself and not into the condensation tank. After the cycle, I noticed that the wrinkles were significantly reduced, although not all of them had disappeared. This saves me a lot of work.
SpeedPerfect
A feature I don't often see on dryers is a shortening function. The display shows SpeedPerfect, which shortens cycles. When I use this function on the cotton cycle, the drying time changes from 4 hours and 33 minutes to 2 hours and 50 minutes. That's quite a difference. This function only works on four different cycles, but since I use the cotton cycle most often, that's not a problem for me.
SmartDry
When I dry my laundry, I don't always know which cycle is best for my laundry. That's why I find the dryer's SmartDry function very useful. I have a Bosch washing machine at home, so I can connect the dryer to the washing machine. I first connect the dryer to the HomeConnect app. When I select SmartDry, the dryer automatically selects the best program for my laundry based on the last wash cycle. This way, I don't have to choose manually.
Self-Cleaning Condenser
A great feature of this dryer is the self-cleaning condenser. I hear the machine rinse several times during the drying cycle. This saves me time on maintenance. It also dries the dryer better. With an energy rating of B, I dry my clothes very energy-efficiently.
