What's a setup cartridge?
When you buy a new printer, it includes setup cartridges. These cartridges are different from regular cartridges, because your printer needs these for the setup. We'll tell you more about setup cartridges and why they're important for your printer here.
What's a setup cartridge?
You'll find a setup cartridge in the box of your printer when you purchase it. These cartridges are made to set up a new printer or printhead. These cartridges set up the printer and calibrate the ink levels. Without a setup cartridge, you can't set up your printer. The cartridges contain ink. This way, you can print your first print jobs with these cartridges after the setup.
Why are setup cartridges important?
A setup cartridge is essential for the setup of your printer. Never throw them away, even if you already have a regular cartridge. Setup cartridge aren't available separately. And without these cartridges, you can't set up your printer.
Are setup cartridges completely filled?
Setup cartridges usually aren't completely filled. So keep in mind that you can print less with a setup cartridge and need new cartridges sooner. Don't want to suddenly be out of ink? Order an extra set of cartridges along with your printer.
