According to our television expert
The Philips 48OLED935 - Ambilight provides a real cinema experience while you watch your favorite movies, sports matches, and YouTube videos. The integrated Bowers & Wilkins soundbar provides clear sound, which is reflected through the room via the ceiling thanks to the Dolby Atmos technology. This makes it seem as if the sound comes from different corners of the room. The OLED screen consists of millions of pixels that produce colors and light up individually or turn themselves off completely. Black is really black and you can see multiple color tones. The Philips P5 processor also optimizes the image sources, so you'll enjoy a true-to-life image quality. You can see Messi's passes or James Bond stunts in detail. The four-sided Ambilight projects mood lighting on on the wall behind the TV in the color of the image.

Design
Bought this TV after my 65OLED803 broke down under warranty. A significant upgrade in both image and sound. Especially detail in dark scenes is more visible compared to the 2018 model and in the motion setting: in real cinema the image is almost perfectly smooth without visible effects. The screen is also packed with other smart image processors, but these are almost all turned off. The image is truly breathtaking with the right source.
Ambilight is a welcome addition to me. It is therefore nice to see that there is finally a screen with light on all sides. Linking with your Hue Lamps is again easy and in no time you are really in your own cinema.
The TV feels smoother than the 2018 models and the Android interface once again works fine. This television comes with 1 remote control (unlike the 2018 models) and I am not satisfied with this remote control. It is too flat in terms of buttons to find things by touch and although there is lighting behind the buttons, you first have to press a button to activate this lighting. This actually eliminates the entire usefulness of the lighting, because you are guaranteed to press the wrong button. I myself have a Logitech Harmony One remote (of 12 years old) and it works much more pleasantly and which, in terms of lighting, already turns on when you pick it up. So put the standard remote control in the drawer and continue with the Harmony.
The TV has an impressive sound. Again there are a lot of additional improvement options, but with these functions turned off, the TV manages to deliver a good sound. I find it inconvenient that you have to turn on the AI function (which clearly colors the image) to be able to use an EQ (I would have liked a little more bass from the speaker itself). The sound is further balanced and very suitable for movies and even with some music it sounds fine. I find the spatial effect a bit disappointing. Atmos in movies does add something, but I don't find the effect convincing (while my room is almost perfect for it). For a real bass reproduction, a subwoofer is desirable and it can be connected quite easily, but unfortunately I do miss options in the screen to control this subwoofer (no crossover and no volume). I haven't bought any DTS Play-Fi speakers yet, so I can't say yet if the sound improves if these are added as rear channels.

Great TV, but a lot of setting options; single tuner is really unworthy for a TV of this price range! my old Humax (with 2 tuners) but connected (or does philips think that is only recorded when we are not watching?) but immediately delivered asynchronous image and sound; sound was slower (!) than picture via hdmi arc; dolby processing turns out to be a problem; put old Humax on pcm and everything runs smoothly; Sound could use a little more bass, then it was perfect, because otherwise nice clear clear sound Then you can simply enjoy yourself with fantastic images and good sound. Study the setting options on a rainy day, because standard settings are not optimal; Remote control looks nice, but buttons are very flat and close together; Why? Is there enough space on the remote control? Burn-in of station logo is prevented by dimming. Other than that, just enjoy this top TV!

each of the 4 hdmi ports with 3 external streamers shows artifacts / best described as jpeg compression-like eg. a man walking past chicken wire: around the man's head the chicken wire pattern is wrong playing the same source directly from a smarttv app, on the other hand, is perfect, so hdmi problem
sound
remote control does not work
Ambilight
smart tv
initializing a kodi library takes hours instead of minutes with quite a few home cinema apps I had to turn off sound because the 'click' sound has a second delay little available space for apps
Months of testing have shown playback issues from 40mbps bitrate
settings
I would not recommend this television for power users you have to choose between either playing via smarttv app in which case you are limited in bitrate and have to let dolby atmos go; either you have to purchase an external streamer (shield/appletv) to be able to play dolby atmos and high bitrate sources, but then you are left with ugly artifacts in the image
