With a Y-piece you connect 2 drain hoses at the same time to the water drain. You use the Y-piece for example to connect the drain hose of your washing machine and dryer at the same time. With this the water flows out via 1 drain. Thanks to the Y-piece, you place the devices close together. You therefore do not need extra drain.
