What's a Y-piece and when do you need one?
You want to connect your washing machine and dryer to the same drain. This could be because you don't feel like emptying the condenser reservoir of your dryer every time. In this case, just a condensation drain hose for your dryer isn't enough. You also need a Y-piece. This allows you to connect 2 drain hoses to the same drain.

With a Y-piece, you can connect 2 drain hoses to the same drain at the same time. This is useful when your washing machine and dryer are next to or on top of each other and you only have one drain. You press the gray plastic drain set on your drain and make sure you have room for 2 drain hoses. You can use the wide opening of the Y-piece for the drain hose of your washing machine. The narrow opening is suitable for the condensation drain hose of your dryer.
