De wallet is geschikt voor verschillende crypto coins.
Doordat de wallet geen batterij heeft, moet hij verbonden zijn met je pc of Mac als je hem wilt gebruiken.
De ARCHOS Safe-T Mini is een hardware wallet waarmee je al je cryptocurrencies veilig bewaart. De compacte wallet is geschikt voor Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dash en ERC20. Je bewaart je coins dus virtueel op deze cryptowallet en alle crypto-operations worden offline uitgevoerd voor extra veiligheid. Je sluit de digitale portemonnee via usb aan op je pc of Mac, waarna al je digitale betalingen in cryptocurrencies direct extra veilig zijn. Je stelt op de Safe-T Mini een 6-cijferige pincode in en mocht je de wallet kwijtraken, of wordt hij gestolen, dan kun kun je de inhoud ervan nog steeds terugkrijgen door het invoeren van een beveiligingssleutel van 24 woorden. Daardoor is het onmogelijk om een frauduleuze transactie uit te voeren via jouw wallet. Via de interface heb je een duidelijk overzicht van je transacties en saldo. De Safe-T Mini heeft ondersteuning voor Windows, MacOS en Linux.

The box is well designed with a safety sticker to avoid tampering. Though it would still be possible to remove the sticker with hot air. There are no clear ways to open the device without causing damage. I'm not saying it's impossible but after taking a screwdriver to the shell it still wasn't opened and now I have some scratching in the plastic.
It comes with three "recovery seed card" should you want to make multiple copies to store in different places. To access the device you use a pin which the screen rotates each time. Firmware was flashed on boot up of the device via the set up website which is very easy to use. All you need to do is set up the bridge application on your computer.
Some nice customization to name the device and be able to change the home screen that is displayed.
Setting up a hardware wallet using Electrum was easy enough, though there doesn't seem to be guides on ARCHOS to do this.
If you're not into a lot of alt coin support (this only supports BTC, BCH, BTG, LTC, DSH, ETH, ETC and the many ERC 20 tokens) then overall it's a nice little wallet. It comes with a carry/storage bag and a wrist strap too.

In eerste instantie zag het apparaat er mooi en goed uit. Fraai design en het idee van een offline wallet sprak me erg aan. Toen ik door de setup heen ging werd het mij echter duidelijk dat er slechts enkele, bekende crypto's worden ondersteund. Zelf heb ik Verge (XVG) en die worden bijvoorbeeld niet ondersteund. Kijk goed of jouw crypto's worden ondersteund voordat je dit apparaat koopt!

It was easy to setup but you do need to have a PC close by to use it since it was no power source. It seems to provide quite some securit as other wallets by letting you insert a 6 digit pin and providing a recovery seed of 24 random words that it generates for you. The display is quite small and limited, you can only type your code via the PC it has no touch display. It does have two buttons with which you can interact.
