With the Apple iPhone 17 Pro, I always take sharp photos and have no problem at all with the heaviest apps and tasks. The device is on the heavy side, though.
Small device that is easy to hold
Personally, I find the small iPhone 17 Pro more comfortable than the large iPhone 17 Pro Max. This small iPhone always fits in my pocket, and I operate it easily with one hand. It is, however, a fairly heavy device. You notice this especially when holding it in one hand for a long time.
Sharp photos when zooming in and in the dark
For me, the camera is the most important difference compared to the standard iPhone 17. Thanks to the telephoto lens, I can capture things that are far away in sharp focus. I use this, for example, in the woods behind my house to photograph herons or deer from afar. I also take better photos on vacation thanks to the telephoto lens. When I zoom in, there is much less noise and distraction in the photo, and my subject comes into focus better. I also take sharp, clear photos in the dark, for example during an evening of football at De Kuip. With the new selfie camera, I can more easily capture a large group. The camera automatically rotates from portrait to landscape mode, without me having to turn the device myself.
Lightning fast and well-cooled
The iPhone 17 Pro is currently the fastest iPhone, along with the 17 Pro Max. I open even the heaviest apps quickly, and switching between multiple apps at once is no problem either. I regularly edit photos taken with my digital camera on my smartphone. That is a demanding task for my device, especially when I am working for a long time, but the iPhone 17 Pro never falters. Other smartphones would get very hot after a while, meaning I sometimes had to put my device down for a moment. The iPhone 17 Pro has improved cooling and remained reasonably cool even after half an hour of editing photos.
Battery life of well over a day
The battery life of the iPhone 17 Pro is very good. If I start the day with a full battery, I easily make it to the end of the day. The battery does drain faster if I use my iPhone a lot, for example to take photos. But even then, I almost never need to top up during the day. Charging to 50 percent is fast, but a full charge takes almost an hour and a half. That is quite a bit longer than with other brands.
