Noise level is not too bad with our son in the room. We can do the door of the closet that fridge is in for the night and that makes a difference if necessary. He does not suffer any harm from it. The places in the door could be different for me (more large bottles possible). That small compartment actually serves nothing and makes it impossible to place 2 bottles of 1.5 l. Yesterday (refrigerator in use for a month) my son took out a Coke bottle for the first time that had a frozen bottom. So it probably was too close to the cooling element. (It didn't explode thankfully, as someone else wrote here in the reviews). It's annoying that the thermostat control is at the back, but acceptable once you've found the right temperature.
