Keys are way too light

Great keyboard if you want to learn the piano (I've been playing with this keyboard for 1.5 years now, and I'm going to replace it this summer with an upright acoustic). The only thing that can irritate, especially if you take lessons with a teacher with an acoustic piano, is the difference in weight of the keys. You won't notice it SUPER much the first year, but you will increasingly accidentally press keys (if you have to move your hands on the keyboard for example). Also the sound button can be annoying because you can set the sound to max, play loud, but as soon as you touch a real piano you produce no sound. You don't learn to play hard enough. Of course you should expect this when you buy a keyboard, but I rather recommend a keyboard with heavier keys. Other than that, it's just a good thing that has served me well for 1.5 years.

That's what I found with this Yamaha, 61 keys is enough for the way I play, sometimes I need bass notes that are lower, no problem with octave shift, then I have 2 octaves left from the middle c. Which is sufficient in my case. The dual layer mode is also worth mentioning, piano and strings for example and controlling your side balance of the two voices but for me the default setting is more than good enough. If you want to learn to play the piano, this Yamaha is a must. No keyboard with all kinds of sounds, styles and rhythms. That only distracts and when the novelty wears off, it is no longer used.
