According to our video card expert
The Gigabyte Geforce RTX 2070 WINDFORCE 8G is a video card for hardcore gamers. Thanks to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX2070 GPU, you can practically any game at high settings in Ultra HD. The fan on this card is designed in such a way that the video card never overheats. The copper heatpipes are in direct contact with the GPU and video memory, resulting in less residual heat. The fans have been designed to silently dissipate hot air while sucking in cold air. With advanced functions such as ray tracing, the graphics of compatible games look even more realistic than what NVIDIA's previous generation was capable of.

Because most games from after 2017 do not run well on 4K on a GTX780, I decided to buy this RTX 2070. It is one of the cheapest RTX 2070s, which is clear from the packaging. The box is quite boring and after the video card there is only a small booklet with some warranty information and a CD-ROM with the Gigabyte Aurus software. Since there is only 1 (one) HDMI connection and the rest is displayport or usb, a display port to hdmi and an hdmi to dvi adapter would have been useful.
The video card itself also looks pretty basic: All black with 3 black fans and on the side it says "GIGABYTE" with RGB lighting behind it. Not very exciting, but it all feels real. Furthermore, the video card is not extremely large (See the photo for a comparison with a GTX780) and takes up 3 slots. The net is in a fractal define R3, which isn't a super roomy case, so it will fit in most atx cases just fine. The lancing device requires 1 8pin cable and 1 6pin cable.
The video card is, in my opinion, very quiet. If you're just browsing or watching netflix, the fans stay off and good airflow in the case is sufficient. While gaming, they turn on of course, but are not noisy and some case fans come out on top. During gaming (apex legends on 4k) the temperature rises to about 65 degrees.
The speed is fine but that is to be expected for this price. On 4k I can do Apex Legends on 4k with medium settings and at least 60fps, World of Tanks with everything on ultra and >60fps and Destiny 2 with medium settings also 4k and >60fps. If you have a 1080p monitor, an RTX 2060 is probably good enough and it is also ~150 euros cheaper.
Finally, the Gigabyte software: It's worthless. You can keep an eye on the temperature, fans and speed with it, but gigabyte thought it was more important to make it look "nice" than to make it clearly readable. MSI Afterburner is a lot clearer and I wouldn't install the gigabyte software.

This video card does what it promises. Metro Exodus looks stunning thanks to the Raytracing. Run everything on 2K ultra settings on 27inch, and it works perfectly. The contents of the box are somewhat bare, only a booklet and a CD with drivers. But if you can play all modern games on Ultra settings, what else do you need?

It's a good value graphics card, about equal in power to a 1080, but with DLSS + raytracing support. Temps don't reach higher than 60, and the card stays relatively quiet.
