Product Expert NAS

Description

Easily work remotely with the Synology DS2419+II. This business NAS has 12 slots for 3.5-inch hard drives or 2.5-inch SATA SSDs. This allows you to create up to 192TB storage capacity for your company films, photos, and documents. The NAS also supports 2 PCIe 3.0 SSDs, so you can use SSD caching. With a NVMe SSD cache, you'll experience less delay between a sent job and its implementation. You'll mainly notice this with large files, like video footage, and demanding applications. Since the processor has 4 cores, you can work with 10 users on this NAS at the same time. The Synology DS2419+II has 4 Gigabit Ethernet. The distribution of data over multiple connections provides a higher throughput and ensures more reliability when a connection is lost. With the 2 included camera licenses, you can store the footage of up to 2 security cameras 24/7. This way, you're sure your office or commercial property is well protected.

Note: to expand the DS2419+II with a M.2 NVMe SSD, you need a Synology M.2 NVMe adapter card.

    • Synology DSM Software is great
    • Supports SHR and BTRFS
    • Has an expansion slot and an expansion port
    • CPU is a little underpowered but not an issue if you are not supporting large groups of users
    • Synology approved memory is hideously expensive
    • Synology approved cacche drives are overpriced

Big fan of synology products BUT you need to know how to navigate the "Synology Recommended" upgrades
