I was looking for a mid-range laptop with AMD processor. This one has the AMD Ryzen 5 3500u which competes well with Intel I5 in the benchmarks. Furthermore, 16 Gb memory and 512 Gb SSD on board, no cuts have been made on that. The laptop starts in approx. 20 seconds on. A CD/DVD disc drive is missing. I occasionally use an external USB DVD writer that works fine. Unfortunately there is no USB port on the right side. With the USB-C port, you do have a third USB. The laptop screen is a bit faded compared to my HDMI monitor, but for laptop use on my lap it's fine. The laptop battery is built-in and cannot be easily replaced in my opinion. I read somewhere that the battery would heat up quickly, but I don't think so, during use & charging I even find the housing relatively cool. After two weeks I am still happy with this purchase. Because I absolutely wanted an AMD Ryzen with enough memory, this Lenovo is exactly what I was looking for.
