Because Windows 10 will soon be discontinued, I was looking for a PC that could replace both my Surface Pro 4 and my desktop. Since I've always been happy with my Surface Pro 4, which is now almost 10 years old, I definitely wanted a successor. And that's what I got: this Surface Pro 11 with a Snapdragon X Elite processor.
The device is fantastic. It looks sleek and feels solid. The OLED screen is brilliant and bright. The battery lasts a long time thanks to the Snapdragon processor, which is much more energy-efficient than previous Intel processors. No fan noise, which is great!
I don't game anymore; I don't have the time or inclination for it anymore, but I do occasionally edit video and photos, though not professionally. According to the specs, this Surface should be able to do that, although I haven't tried it yet.
The downsides are Windows 11. Sorry, but that operating system isn't finished yet. The interface is clunky; to automatically pair a Bluetooth mouse, you have to dig deep into the settings instead of somewhere user-friendly. Does that automatically pair all Bluetooth devices? Ugh, I think it's a step backwards. It does launch programs, yes.
It's also strange that this device boots slower than my 10-year-old Surface Pro 4. That's not a huge drawback, but it is noticeable.
But overall: very happy with this device.
