Expert review of the Harman Kardon Enchant 900
The Harman Kardon Enchant 900 is the smallest soundbar of the new Harman Kardon Enchant series. It's a compact soundbar that you can easily place somewhere and lets you enjoy your movies and series more. You can use various functions with the app, so the audio sounds on its best. First impression of the Harman Kardon Enchant 900
The soundbar is packaged neatly. The cardboard fills up the box, so the soundbar doesn't shake around. The soundbar is in a fabric cover, so it remains dust-free. I notice that the soundbar shows text when I turn it on. When I change a setting like turning on surround sound, you also see this. The box also contains a remote with batteries, a power cord, HDMI cable, and the materials for a wall mount.
Easy setup
I can easily install the soundbar with the included power cord and HDMI cable. When I turn on the TV, it's automatically connected and the sound comes from the soundbar.
Clear sound
The soundbar has 9 speakers that face forwards, sideways, and upwards. I can hear clear and full sound this way. Thanks to the Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and MultiBeam technologies, I can hear spatial audio in any spot in the room. The bass is noticeable, but not very strong. If you like listening to a deep bass, get the Enchant subwoofer as well. I can set the surround sound to several levels, but I don't hear much of a difference between them.
Room calibration
With room calibration, the soundbar scans the space and adjusts the sound accordingly. Calibrating the sound takes about 1 minute. After this, I can listen to a room-filling sound where the audio is clear anywhere in the room. Even when I'm 6m away from the soundbar.
Easy controls and connectivity
I can control the soundbar with the included remote or my smartphone via the Harman Kardon app. In the app, I can find various options to personalize the sound with. I can turn the bass up or down, for example.
Conclusion
I recommend the Harman Kardon Enchant 900 if you're looking for a compact soundbar that produces room-filling sound. I didn't spend much time on the installation because it's very easy. With the room calibration, the sound is clear and full in every corner of the room. I can easily control the soundbar remotely and adjust the sound to my liking via the app.
