Philips hue lamps and Google Assistant
Google Home Mini Philips Hue Starter Pack
With the combination of the Google Home Mini and the Philips Hue Starter Pack, you can now control the smart lamps with your voice. The Google Home Mini supports Dutch and can carry out all kinds of commands to adjust your smart lamps to your liking. Always start your command with "Hey Google", then state whatever you want the smart lamps to do.
How do I connect my Philips Hue lamps to Google Assistant?
First you download the Google Home app (still in English) onto your smart device (smartphone and tablet). Open the app and go to the Home control section. You'll see a list of all the apps of all the smart products and devices in your home. Scroll to the Philips Hue app and let it integrate into the Google Home app. Once the integration is done, all the linked Hue lamps will automatically be found. Great! You can then start controlling all the Hue lamps in your home with your voice.
What can I do with my Philips Hue lamps and Google Assistant
The advantage of Google Assistant is that you can control your Philips Hue lamps with your voice. This means the assistant makes manual operations a thing of the past. Use terms like 'Hey Google, turn on all Hue lamps.' or 'Hey Google, dim the Hue lamps in the living room to 50%.' You also switch on all your favorite lighting scenes. You've already compiled these in the app. Thanks to the interaction between both apps, all you have to do is call up your favorite scene and your Hue lamps will respond. Your wish is my command.
