How do you clean the milk system of your WMF Perfection?

On this page, you can read how to clean the milk system of your WMF fully automatic coffee machine. We recommend that you do this regularly. This'll remove all milk residue from the system and maintain a good quality of milk froth. Clean the individual parts daily and clean the milk system once a week. We'll explain how to do this.

Get started with the milk system

You can clean the milk system in a few simple steps. This only takes about 10 minutes. We'll go through the following steps:

  • Step 1. Rinse the milk system
  • Step 2. Disassemble all the separate parts
  • Step 3. Rinse all the separate parts

You need:

  • Dish cloth
  • Container 100ml (2x)

How often do you clean the milk system?

We recommend regularly cleaning the milk system. This way, you can keep enjoying good milk foam. A thorough cleaning consists of both daily rinsing of the milk system and regular cleaning of all separate parts. It's important to maintain the milk system, otherwise mold will appear.

  1. After use, the machine recommends cleaning the milk system.
  2. Confirm this with 'Rinse now'.
  3. Remove the milk tube by pulling it.
  4. Put a container next to the machine and hang the milk tube in it with the head down.
  5. Put a container under the coffee outlet.
  6. Confirm this with 'Ok'.
  7. The milk system is being cleaned.
  8. After a few minutes, the milk system is cleaned succesfully.

  1. Touch the soap bell icon on the display to go to the maintenance menu.
  2. Choose 'automatic milk cleaning'.
  3. Select 'step by step' to go through the rinsing step by step.
  4. Remove the milk tube from the machine.
  5. Remove the front cover from the coffee outlet. Pull this towards you.
  6. Remove the block on the inside by pulling it towards you on the top and bottom.
  7. First, remove the orange part of the block.
  8. Remove the top and bottom from the block. Also remove the orange part from the gray block.
  9. Use the orange part to twist off the black pipes at the top.

  1. Unclog the black pipes with the pin of the orange part by rotating the pin in the holes.
  2. Remove the pipe from the milk tube and pull the stainless steel tube from it.
  3. Clean all separate parts under the faucet.
  4. Dry all parts thoroughly with a dish cloth.
  5. Unplug the black end and side of the milk tube with the pin of the orange part.
  6. Assemble all separate parts again. Press the right arrow on the display for the next step.
  7. Click the coffee outlet cover back into place and connect the milk hose here.
  8. Press 'home' to return to the coffee menu. The milk system is now cleaned.
