How do you descale your De'Longhi Eletta?

It's important to descale your De'Longhi Eletta ECAM44.660.B and ECAM46.860.B well. This way, you can extend the lifespan of your machine. Descale the machine once every 3 months. The machine will notify you when it's time. Use the De'Longhi descaler for the best result. On this page, we'll show you how to descale your coffee machine.

Get started with descaling

In the video, we'll explain step by step how to descale your coffee machine. These are the steps we'll go through:

  • Step 1. Prepare the machine for descaling
  • Step 2. Start the first rinse.
  • Step 3. Start the second rinse.

You need:

  • De'Longhi descaler
  • 2L container

How often should you descale?

You only have to descale your De'Longhi once every 3 months, as long as you replace the water filter in time. That's because the water filter prevents a large part of the limescale. Don't have a water filter? Keep in mind that you'll have to descale your machine more often. How often depends on the hardness of your tap water and how many cups of coffee you make each day.
