I had an old QuickPort from Sharkoon for years, but it didn't support +2TB drives. After a long search I came across this copy which is perfectly adequate for modern hard drives. Manufacturers may, however, sometimes mention the maximum readable capacity of their docking stations, because I've been looking hard.
The dock looks nice, is easy to connect, does not require driver installation and speeds are good, but possibly slightly less than promised (may be just me due to software). The build quality is solid and the device does not feel flimsy or fragile.
The dual slots mean that you can clone drives very easily. However, the supplied software is worthless. It's useless. Do not install. If you want to clone drives, use a trusted app like "MiniTool" and the dock will do its job perfectly. +1 to Sharkoon, as usual.

Solid and very easy to use. Connect to the USB port, insert a disk and you're good to go!
Was literally a matter of 1 minute of work on the Mac. This made it easy for me to access old hard drives that I couldn't connect anything else to my laptop.
